Import Race update
Import Winner - Joe Drews
Import Runner up - Veronica Bond
Import Vs Domestic Winner – Trent Blocker
Congratulations to all of you, I thought it was very interesting that the finals came down to a female in an Import and male in a domestic, that tells me that we had a very nice mix of cars and people.
I would like to first of all thank you all who came out and joined us yesterday, racers, test-N-tuners, spectators the whole shebang. I think we had a very nice turn out for our first event. I tried to talk to as many as I could but I had a lot going on. The way we ran the event was very different from anything that Hub City has ever had so there was some confusion but I think all in all everyone stepped up to make it work. I absolutely have fell in love with this group and this type of gathering. I am new to the Import world but I have enjoyed you very much both times we had you out to the track. I think we can learn from each gathering. For example I found at the end of the night that not many of the naturally aspirated cars had entered the event, we did go up at the end and make an announcement that we would match dollar for dollar and add $100.00 to the pot for all who wanted to come up and run but only one came up, I am not sure why but I do feel that we left a nice group of cars laying on the table there that did not participate in the event but just tested and tuned. Although I love test n tune and have always encourage the TNT’er to come I felt like I missed something. It is my intent to make a place for everyone and have a little something for everyone to win but I am just not sure what I need to do to get the NA cars in the game. If someone would like to call me and help me understand that then I will work toward that on the next event. With all this said I would like to work toward the next date. I am thinking that we could fit something in the Month of January. Other than Jan 5th my Calendar is completely open for the month of January. So if someone that is really involved would just take a look around (i.e. Web Sites, Group Forums) and see if we can find a good clean date then I would like to get the ball rolling. With all this said I would like to open this up to feed back, thoughts, and suggestions. We can start here on Face book or you can email me at bonnie@hubcityraceway.com and we can start a link on my web site hubcityraceway.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=21 you do not have to register to post your thoughts, and you are certainly free to call me on my cell at 713-906-0042.
